Automesh Generator Module
KENT
What is  KENT?
KENT is one of the most powerful, AUTOMATIC, finite element mesh generation tools designed specifically for the casting industry. KENT generates a multi-component (casting, mold, core, chill, etc.) model from simple STL surface files. This method allows foundry engineers to take advantage of the solid models which many shops already generate for their molds and dies.

KENT now features a new variable density meshing capability. This allows for substantially smaller models to be generated, which in turn allows for much quicker analysis runs. Near the casting surface, the mold elements are similarly sized to the elements in the casting. This ensures accurate simulation results. In the table below, the mesh sizes are compared, as well as the time required to run a natural solidification analysis on each model, with the relative improvement in the new mesh compared to the old mesh displayed in the last column:

Our new variable mesh density capability significantly impacts the efficiency of the simulation.  You can read more about this feature in our December 2004 newsletter (click here).

Why should I use it?
It's the fastest , most accurate/efficient and the easiest to use software programs. PERIOD. KENT is for users who want the meshing speed of finite difference and the accuracy of finite element analysis.  KENT gives you the best of both worlds.  KENT, along with other meshing tools provided by EKK, also give you the ability to make modifications to the mesh even after it has been created.  In conjunction with other CAPCAST modules, KENT plays an integral role in providing you with the most accurate and efficient analysis available today.

How do I get it?
KENT is available with the rest of CAPCAST  package for both leasing and purchasing.  Call us now for more details. 1-(248)-624-9957
